Digital Sustainability, Emissions, Impacts and Maturity Assessments
Client: Sopra Steria
This project undertaken in support of Sopra Steria in the delivery of their National Defence and Security projects, looked at the scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions of the organisation's digital devices and data services. The project delivered clear baseline data against the Greening Government Commitments and GHG Protocol with in-depth strategies on how the organisations could reduce their direct emissions and impacts, across carbon, energy, water and waste, while building in long term resilience to climate change.
Areas Assessed: Over 200,000 Personal devices, desktops, server units, monitors.
Business Areas Assessed: Organisational strategy, delivery road map, communications and training. Organisations Digital Maturity.
Outputs: Full scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, with Power BI dashboard to enable greater insight and integration into the clients' platforms. Strategic report, with recommendations to reduce impacts, roadmaps to increase maturity and achieve long term goals, outline communication plan and personnel training needs against organisational framework.
Impact: expected 50% reduction in ICT emissions, Increased understanding of business resilience and risk impacts, Business focused road map, Embedded communication and training plan.
